今回紹介するのはホオズキイカの仲間の動画です。
深海で撮影されたそのイカの姿は、パッと見ではなかなかイカとは認識できない姿です。
なんだか、アニメのキャラクターに出てきそうなちょっとほっこりとしたフォルムと、表情（？）。

この投稿の中では、「Pig-nosed (ブタの鼻の), Helicopter-tail (ヘリコプターの様な尾っぽの), and Hippo-squid (カバの様なイカ)」と付けられていました。
What’s in a name? This cranchiid squid, Helicocranchia, has quite a few nicknames from our deep-sea biologists. It’s called the pig-nosed, helicopter-tailed, and hippo-squid, depending on who you ask, of course. What nickname would you give it?
